LeBaDang, a far-from-home Vietnamese artist, has been successful in art field and is honored by the world. He always wanted to contribute to the art of the country and to build Thua Thien Hue province becoming “Art Capital”. Therefore, he and the provincial leaders have set up LeBaDang Art Foundation that store, display and promote the artistic value of the artist himself. With the desire to contribute to the art world in general and the art of home in particular as well as his heart always long for home, he conducted 6 donations of his works to Thua Thien Hue province.

Stage 1:

On June 4th, 2006, He presented the first 108 works to Thua Thien Hue Provincal People’s Committee, including oil paintings, watercolors, embossed and synthetic papers such as: Ho Chi Minh Trail, the Cats, the Eyes…

Stage 2:

On the second time, May 21st, 2008, the artist gave 55 works, especially, Dien Bien Phu Victory collection and two sculptures “Elephant, Owl” which made from America’s B52 wreck. It also added works for LeBaDang Graphic collection, Horse, Flowers…

Stage 3:

On March 31st, 2009, on his return to Vietnam, he presented 7 works with oil paints and pigment materials.

Stage 4:

On the fourth time, June 7th, 2010, LeBaDang Art Foundation opened the exhibition “One hundred faces one word”. He has donated 68 works (11 sculptures and 57 oil paintings) for Thua Thien Hue Provincal People’s Committee on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

Stage 5:

On April 15th, 2011 in Paris, he presented his 24 works of art to Thua Thien Hue Province on the occasion of  film crew which making movies about life and career of the artist  in France.

Stage  6:

On the sixth time, August 15th, 2012,LeBaDang Art Foundation held the ceremony of donating the paintings, a collection of posters about Russian Revolution, anti-war Vietnam by the painter in France and some documents, books on fine art.

Stage 7 :

Continuing to fulfill the desires of Lebadang artist; After he passed away, Mrs Myshu Lebadang – the wife of the artist donated 13 lithograph paintings to people of Thua Thien Hue province (May 2017).

The precious contribution of the artist and his wife to the people of Thua Thien Hue province reflects the whole of his career of more than 70 years of artistic creation and material researches as well as technical innovations of Lebadang artist.
